SAWUBONA VOLUNTEERS

Mission Statement: Serving Communities, Nourishing Lives, Sharing God’s Love

Sourcing sustainable protein through conservation harvesting to feed underprivileged children in the Western Cape of South Africa.

Ethical Protein Harvesting & Conservation Stewardship

Step into the field alongside our licensed Professional Hunters for a hands-on conservation experience with purpose. This is the foundation of our South African feeding mission: ethically harvesting wild venison.

Sawubona Foundation partners with managed reserves, parks, and landowners to source lean, nutrient-dense protein—a far more cost-effective and sustainable alternative to commercial beef. Coordinate your field participation with our team.

Bring your own compliant equipment or sight in one of our calibrated rifles with your guide. Once an animal is harvested, our team and volunteers manage field transport, skinning, and cold-chain logistics to deliver the yield directly to accredited local butchers.

Every available pound of meat goes straight to our charitable ministry to feed undernourished children in local Educare centers, preschools, and churches.

We also offer volunteers the opportunity to assist in wildlife culling drives. Culling is essential for herd health and population control. Joining these supervised management drives allows us to harvest higher volumes of protein efficiently to sustain our weekly community feeding programs.

Speak to our team if you would like to add additional hunts or culling participation to your volunteer schedule.
